today i had a funny conversation about the purpose of p.o. boxes. seriously, i've always wondered why people have p.o. boxes. i mean, you have a home with a mailbox, so all a p.o. box does is make you have to make a trip to the post office, which may be one of the deeper levels of hell. so, i got in a conversation with a friend about said topic when i discovered she has a p.o. box. in the end, she said exactly what i've thought for years: people have p.o. boxes for generally shady purposes. :)
so, i thought the relationship to p.o. boxes and shady activity could best be expressed with a venn diagram. here's what i came up with:

of course, the excitement associated with chart-making spreads like wildfire, so i thought i would take a stab at one final venn diagram. naturally, when i think of fun times and diagrams, i instantly think: carnies!

so there ya go. i hope you've enjoyed this little trip down diagram lane. i encourage you all to go express your inner joy by creating your own venn diagram.

i know you are not into sitcoms but there is an episode of how i met your mother where on of the lead characters can't stop making charts - (not nearly as fun as venn diagrams. clearly.) Anyway, they stage an intervention to help him stop. i'm just sayin. it's pretty entertaining. (both the show and your venn-ness)
funny enough, audra and i had this very conversation today at work. she convinced me to watch a clip where the dude on the show makes the "cecilia" venn diagram. admittedly, that particular part was funny, but i'm still not biting on sitcoms...especially that one... :)
don't worry though, kat, you'll be the first to know if my mental wires ever get crossed and i get sucked into sitcom world... :)
First of all, How I Met Your Mother is hysterical and I will not be convinced otherwise. (How's THAT for a blog that's supposed to promote discussion?!)
Secondly, I want you to know that not only do I have a P.O. Box, but according to you it's fairly possible that I'm a carnie, minus the shirtless part. I'm relatively certain I sometimes creep people out...at least, I hope that's the case. :)
